Nelson Disla enjoys dancing to cacophonous, avant-garde metal alone in a dark room, but he’s not the insane recluse suggested by that image. He is an aspiring vegetarian cook whose restaurant job landed him in a carnivore’s paradise. He’s dangerously competitive and stupidly stubborn. He knows that he’s an animal and he’s working on it. He writes primarily for his own gratification, publishes for the validation he tells himself he doesn’t need, and would love to get in touch.
